Contender's Bible School began as a vision of Pastor Ron Sallee. He began
the school as an effort to equip men and women to know what they believe
concerning Christianity, know why they believe it, and to be able to "contend for
the faith once delivered to the saints."
Contender's Bible School equips men and women for ministry through an
aggressive two-year program of biblical and ministry-related subjects. Because of it’s compact
course nature, the usual two hours outside work for each hour spent in class have been replaced
with a regimen that demands an average of 6 hours of outside work for each class hour. Due to the
difficulty of course work those who graduate have learned discipline and
perseverance as well. Students are taught that Contender's Bible school is only
the beginning of what is to be a life-long pursuit of Biblical and Ministry
related education. We give them the two most important tools: a strong desire to
learn and the experience that disciplined study produces learning.
In addition to the material that students learn through course work
at Contenders Bible School a program of practical Christian Ministry is also
offered that gives students hands on experience in every facet of church
ministry from children's ministries to pulpit preaching.
